You're A Big Boy Now 1966

Peter Kastner - Elizabeth Hartman - Geraldine Page

You're A Big Boy Now was Francis Ford Coppola's directorial debut. And he did it for his master's thesis at UCLA film school. Not bad for your homework! It's a sweet romantic romp about a mama's boy seeking his place in the sex liberation going on in the Big Apple. He'd be happy just to get his own apartment. Great scenes of New York street life on the cusp of hippydome and wonderful score by the Lovin' Spoonful and a dizzying pace. Stars also include Rip Torn and Geraldine Page, both of whom were married. Page was nominated for an Oscar for her portrayal of Bernard's neurotic mama. Newcomers Elizabeth Hartman and Karen Black.
