Offered here is this very beautiful, woodblock print by Kawase Hasui. The subject is titled "Matsushima, Futagojima," Published by Watanabe Shozaburo (6mm seal in bottom right corner), and signed with artists' Japanese characters and seal in the bottom left corner. This impression dates to about 1947-1950 and is definitely a lifetime impression.
The image is printed in Oban format, and measures 14-1/4 x 9-7/16 inches. The sheet measures (approximately), 15-1/4 x x 10-5/8 inches.
CONDITION: An absolutely superb impression with strong, vibrant coloring. Aside minor tone and a small printer's ink spot in the lower left section, just below the bottom edge of the Island, this item is in near pristine condition.
